When and how did you get into drifting and/or other motor sports?
I’ve been in this business for 5 years and been into motorsports and racing since I was 18. Started out doing PCA HPDE events and track days which I still do, and I’ve attended LKT, DG Drift Events for the past year.
What was the first car you used for drifting?
Rays S13
How did it work out for you?
Amazing, it drove itself!!!!! Drifted much better than my car.
What was your most practiced technique?
Feint
What is it now?
Ebrake, clutch, power over, feint, I mix it up a lot... depends on the course layout
Where are you looking to improve?
Consistency mainly, not spinning, and going faster. My line is good when I maintain a steady drift through the course.
What types of events have you participated in?
DG Trials, Lookout Drift, USDrift, and Porsche Club
What type of events have you competed in?
None really for competition, I just do this for fun, I plan on doing some road racing with the Porsche
What do you find challenging?
Decreasing radius turns in drifting that require downshifting. Tight gymkhana type of courses
Who are your influences?
Everyone that’s been doing it longer then me! Anyone that’s faster than me or carries a better line.
What modifications would you like to have in the future?
More power, paint, more suspension, and components
What are your future plans in drifting?
Keep at it, get more consistent, and maybe compete in competitions
Your thoughts on the future of drifting?
Its going strong, as it should be, it’s still a very new to the US. I don’t see it going anywhere but further.
Anything else you would like us to know about you?
I’m a big fan of all kinds of cars; I have a pretty good knowledge of parts/components and their compatibility with other cars/parts. Cars and driving them are my life. I’m always open to share my wealth of knowledge with others trying to further their own.
