When and how did you get into drifting and/or other motor sports?
I started racing in SCCA solo 2 with my stock 240sx with Tein springs and Tokico shocks...I remember getting the biggest thrill out of my very first run...I was hooked on the whole racing thing after that....I started upgrading my car and around the same time I started getting into drifting.....I bought a 180sx vlsd and sway bars....and started getting sideways. Didn’t pay much attention to autocross anymore I was hooked on drifting....practiced every night in the mountains. I still went to autocross but I didn’t care about getting a good time...I just went out there drifted.

What was the first car you used for drifting?
When I didn’t even have my license....I used to mess around in my moms ford contour.....used to pull the ebrake in the rain around corners and get thrown around violently because of the insane body roll....it was good times though.

How did it work out for you?
Lots of fun...never got caught.....but I did whack a curb once, not too bad, but enough to tweak the steering wheel a little bit.

What was your most practiced technique?
With my 240 I started with clutch kick....and it progressed to clutch kicking before the turn and holding the drift.....then I started feint drifting.....then I started using the ebrake and starting the drift way before the turn and match revving at the apex and carrying out the drift...that was my favorite style

What is it now?
I am focusing on manji drift or chuki dori.....also high speed 3rd gear drifting...in a couple of weeks I'm going to a drift event at thunder hill raceway....they have it set up so there is a long high speed turn...I’m really looking forward to getting my technique down on that track.

Where are you looking to improve?
high speed 3rd gear turns....and chuki dori.

What types of events have you participated it?
I’ve been to US drift, and NCDA.

What type of events have you competed in?
I have yet to compete I’ve only been to practice drift days

What do you find challenging?
finding the right setting for my car is frustrating....I deal with rear camber a lot its hard to find which setting is optimal for different tracks...its HARD not HAVING A TEAM to Support your car.

Who are your influences?
Ken Nomura, Ken Gushi, Alex P. I know there are better drifters but these guys have heart.

What modifications would you like to have in the future?
Maybe some fender braces....A racing seat...

What are your future plans in drifting?
Go to every track day event

What are your thoughts on the future of drifting?
Formula d sucks, it is not good for the sport.

Anything else you would like us to know about you?
